Gang Sheeter for Shopify 2.0 Setup

Sheet Height:

 Use this setting to set the standard sheet height.  If you sell transfers by the foot, you would use 12 inches here.  If you are using a desktop or sheet fed printer you could input the sheet height here.  If you sell transfers by the inch input 1.

Automatic Margins:

Just wanted to give you a heads up.  This software package automatically includes 0.25" of margin in every direction around your design.  This is to ensure no issues arise while cutting transfers.

Max Printable Width:

Unless you are planning on printing borderless, this will rarely be the exact width as your material, because of color bars, rollers, page margins, etc you'll likely use the nearest whole number under your material width. 

For example:

60cm DTF machines generally print 23.6" wide material.  In this case, use 23 here.  the Automatic Margin will effectively decrease the maximum image size to 22.5" leaving plenty of room for color bars and material shift.

If you are using a desktop or sheet fed machine, this will generally be the width of the sheet. a 13"x19" sheet could use 13 here and the automatic margins will reduce the maximum image size to 12.5"

Maximum File Size:

Because we are leveraging Shopify's CDN the maximum file size is restricted as to not cause any issues when customers attempt to upload their art.  It is important to keep in mind, that generally one of two things is happening when customer send art; it is larger than it needs to be, it can be simplified (not everything needs to be a 120" gang)

For Example

If a gang included 20 copies of a design and a second design to fill in the remaining space a the end of a sheet, then a customer cuould easily upload that last sheet as a gang, the the 20 copies as a singl image and select 20 copies.

Max Sheet Count:

This give you the ability to set a maximum gang sheet size. 

For Example:

If you set this number to 10 and the Sheet Height to 12, the maximum allowable gang length is 120".  This can be useful if you are setting up multiple products at different sizes, or if you want to ensure your production equipment is not bogged down my sizeable image files.
